Covid-19 Testing

April 15, 2021 – Governor Pedro R. Pierluisi announced today an amendment to the existing executive order to address the surge of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic by adopting the recommendations from the Scientific Coalition. The changes will take effect on Saturday, April 17, 2021 and remain in effect until May 9, 2021. As part of the amendment the changes strengthen the travel requirements. Individuals traveling into Puerto Rico through the international airports Luis Muñoz Marin (Carolina), Mercedita (Ponce), and Rafael Hernández (Aguadilla) from the United States or any other point of origin will now have to provide evidence of a negative result of a molecular test, also known as PCR test within 72 hours prior to travel, or have it done in the island within 48 hours of arrival during which those arriving have to be in strict quarantine. Otherwise, the individuals will risk a fine for non-compliance. The amendment is also eliminating the option of self-quarantine, which makes testing prior to traveling, or in the island the only options at this time.

We are conveniently located at each of the three terminals at the San Juan International Airport (SJU) and will commence service shortly at the Ponce and Aguadilla airports to provide you prompt service.

Take advantage of the convenience of online booking through this website for collection of test sample at the airport on arrival with result made available electronically within 24 hours of testing.

PR Renal Health & Research Inc. is looking for participants in the following research study:

CMT laboratory is conducting a study to assess a rapid Antigen Test developed right here in Puerto Rico. Are you interested in participating? If so, after reading the posting below, tick yes on your booking template before submitting.

We are conducting a research study to evaluate a new test for rapidly detecting COVID-19 (Covid) in nose swab for its accuracy. The test is intended, when ready and validated, to be used at home. We have obtained approval from an independent review board that is not involved with the study but is helping to ensure that we go about it right. This is always required in good research practices to protect participants. The test requires an additional sample collection from a nose swab before the test your doctor ordered, and we anticipate it will add an additional 5-10 minutes to your time in the clinic.

If you agree to participate, our trained staff will provide you with a consent form when you arrive for your test.
